Jaguar XKR-R sneak peak snatched
Jaguar aficionados have been put on alert after the eagerly-awaited new XKR-R was spotted in testing.Picked out by automotive enthusiast Colin Thomson in Glenshee, Perthshire, the new coupe boasts a hefty 5.0-litre supercharged engine that can accelerate from standstill to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds before maxing out at around 180 mph, reports Auto Express.
The model will be priced at £75,000, for which car owners will benefit from up-rated brakes, a "muscular" bodykit and stiffer suspension.
And the article added that a recent business move by Ford has enabled the blue opal to concentrate on the Jaguar marque.
"With the sale of Aston by parent firm Ford, the way is now clear for faster Jaguar cars such as this," it stated.
Like off-roader stable mate Land Rover, Jaguar is currently owned by the American automaker Ford.
Visitors to Jaguar car dealerships can choose from a range of performance vehicles such as the S-Type, the X-Type and the XJ-Series.
