Jaguar XKR among the display models at record-breaking parade

Jaguar enthusiasts in the West Midlands were treated to a record-breaking showcase last weekend, it has been revealed.

On Sunday, June 24th 2007, a total of 218 vehicles were displayed at Attingham Park in Shrewsbury - making it the longest parade of Jaguar motors in the world.

And vintage E-Types sat alongside up-to-date sports cars such as the XKR during the event.

Craig Petty, sales manager at car dealership Hatfields Jaguar Shrewsbury, which organised the parade, has hailed the event as a success.

"The parade generated a great deal of interest from spectators along the rouse who were all keen to catch a glimpse of the Jaguars, both new and old," he said.

Recently, motoring magazine Auto Express claimed to have obtained photos of the all-new Jaguar XKR-R in testing.

Among the features to be included on the coupe, it is thought that the vehicle will boast stiffer suspension and up-rated brakes.
