Critics award Lamborghini 'world's most beautiful car' gong
The Lamborghini Reventon has been hailed as the world's most beautiful car.A panel chaired by visual arts critic Bruno Alfieri convened to award the L'Automobile piu Bella del Mondo prize to the automaker on November 8th in Milan.
It was then given the gong at the 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show.
"The judges selected the Reventon for its extreme, consistent, sharp-edged styling inspired by modern aeronautics, all features that make it a true work of art," said the automaker.
But motor car enthusiasts looking to purchase one of the vehicles may be aggrieved to learn that only 20 units have been developed and all of them have been picked up by quick buyers for close to £718,000 each.
Italian automobile manufacturer Lamborghini is perhaps most famous for its Diablo supercar, which was in production in a variety of different styles from 1990 to 2001.
