Chevrolet Camaro to appear in Transformers
The Chevrolet Camaro is set for an outing on the big screen this summer in the eagerly-awaited new Transformers movie, car buyers may be interested to know.Thanks to an exclusive sponsorship deal struck by the film's developers, all Transformers in the film will be based upon US automotive giant General Motors' family of vehicles.
It means that the Camaro will now be immortalised as the character Bumblebee, who was originally modelled on the Volkswagen Beetle.
In the new movie, the sports car is bought by high school student Sam Witwicky before it reveals itself as a Transformer.
And the deal could potentially boost interest in the Camaro among nostalgic film-goers.
Late last year, the new Ford Mondeo made an appearance on the big screen ahead of its UK launch.
The family car was driven by Daniel Craig in the most recent instalment of the James Bond franchise, Casino Royale.
