Award may make Mazda dealerships busier
More motorists up and down the UK may be tempted to visit their local Mazda car dealership after hearing about the manufacturer's latest success.This year's Auto Express awards saw the company's MX-5 take the crown in the roadster class.
According to the magazine, the model is the "default choice" for anyone looking for open-air motoring, while still protecting their pocket.
It claimed, with prices starting at £16,345, the car is "something of a bargain".
Meanwhile, sales and marketing director at Mazda Mark Cameron said the vehicle can be used all year round and boasts excellent specification levels, as well as low running costs.
He added: "The whole sportscar ownership experience is supported by Mazda's legendary reliability and durability."
The manufacturer also drew attention to the fact the auto had beaten off rivals produced by the likes of BMW and Porsche to take this year's roadster title.
Earlier this month, the group revealed it would be unveiling a superlight concept car with similarities to the MX-5 at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
