A black car 'could be worth more than a pink one'
People buying cars should give more thought to their choice of colour, according to HPI.The valuation firm said being swayed by whatever is fashionable at the time could lose the owner money when they came to trade in the vehicle.
Used motor expert with HPI Alan Senior claimed the shade of a model is a vital factor in how much a used car is worth.
He stated: "In our experience, the colour can have a huge impact on pulling buyers in, so we'd advise buyers to think carefully before making a statement in a cerise MPV."
Mr Senior suggested black was always popular, while white was the kind of colour people either loved or hated.
He concluded people needed to take these things into consideration when purchasing a car.
Meanwhile, HPI recently claimed people should be open to the idea of buying a car that had been written-off.
However, it warned motorists to ensure rigorous safety checks had been carried out.
