Seat's racing success 'underlines sporty credentials'
Claiming the manufacturer's title at the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) has underlined the "sporty" credentials of car manufacturer Seat, company bosses have claimed. In addition to securing the manufacturer's crown at Silverstone last weekend, Seat also managed to rack up 11 wins and 24 podium finishes across 30 races.
Seat, which is already enjoying a 15 per cent increase in UK sales this year, added to its recent success on the racing circuit by finishing 44 points ahead of nearest rival Vauxhall to snatch the manufacturer's title, as its new Leon model competed for the first time.
"There’s a real buzz about Seat right now," said the company's UK director Peter Wyhinny, in comments reported by website easier.com.
"Winning the BTCC Manufacturers’ trophy is a perfect demonstration of the sporty values of SEAT, and sets the scene nicely for the Leon Cupra’s arrival early next year," he added.
