Seat Leon gets up close and personal with Shakira
The Seat Leon was the centre of attention at the Geneva motor show as chart-topping Colombian singer Shakira helped unveil a custom-designed model destined to be given away via a charity raffle.A one-of-a-kind edition, the Seat Leon Pies Descalzo takes its name from the Pies Descalzo Foundation, a charity created by the singing sensation to help Colombian children whose lives have been affected by violence.
Shakira signed the car's bonnet during the event, after having previously selected its striking purple paintwork, black alloy wheels and heavily-coordinated interior colour scheme.
And one lucky person will be able to drive away with the signed car, simply by contributing to charity.
Motorists who want to be in with a chance of winning the Leon are being invited to text "Seat" to the number 81161, or alternatively donate via a specially-designed website.
Shakira is not the first high-profile celebrity to steal the headlines at an international motor show.
Last November, Australian supermodel Elle MacPherson became the first person to receive the keys to a new Fiat Panda 100HP when she made an appearance at MPH '06.
