Rising prices 'good news for Seat owners'

Owners of Seat models may be pleased to hear prices for second-hand models are on the rise.

According to the company, some of its used vehicles are being bought for 14 per cent more this month than they were during March.

It stated figures from second-hand car expert Cap also show nearly-new late-plate models are proving particularly popular with buyers.

The firm also said demand for used versions of the new-shape Ibiza is "massive".

This could be good news for motorists looking to purchase new Seat vehicles as it means they could be looking at higher residual values when the time comes to sell.

David Ardern, spokesman for the group, commented: "The jump in Seat valuations ... clearly reflects the Spanish brand's popularity among used car buyers keen to snap up a stylish, well-equipped and sporty car."

Meanwhile, vehicle buyers considering purchasing the Ibiza Cupra when it comes out may want to try out a game for the iPod touch and iPhone that allows players to test drive the auto.
