Ibiza gets top Ncap safety rating
The Seat Ibiza has been rated as having a five-star performance in Euro Ncap safety tests.A new model of the car is now ranked as one of the safest in its class, gaining the full marks for passenger protection and achieving four stars for child protection and three for pedestrian performance.
Features which are said to have added to this rating include driver and passenger airbags, traction control, ABS and Isofix child seat anchorage points.
The total points awarded after testing was 34 points, which represents a 94 per cent mark, with the side impact and pole tests getting top marks.
Seat's newest model of Ibiza was unveiled at the recent Madrid Motor Show and will go on sale later this month, on July 16th.
Michiel van Ratingen, secretary general of Euro Ncap, recently praised the cars in the latest round of testing as having achieved good child protection scores.
