Seat comments on record UK sales haul
Seat apparently sold more vehicles in the past year than ever before, car buyers may be interested to know.According to the Spanish automaker, a total of 17,839 vehicles were sold in the 12 months to June 2007, which represents a year-on-year rise of more than 1,000 vehicles.
And it means that the company managed to attain a 1.41 per cent share of the total UK automotive market.
Commenting, Peter Wyhinny, director of Seat UK, described it as a "fantastic result" and pointed to a new Altea-branded vehicle as one reason why he is optimistic about the company's future.
"Increasing demand for our sporty and design-led range of cars is set to grow further as new products arrive such as the Altea freetrack crossover vehicle in October," he said.
Earlier this month, Seat announced that prices for the 1.6-litre and 1.9-litre Altea TDI Reference Sport multi-purpose vehicles would be cut to £10,995 and £11,995 respectively as part of a summer promotional campaign.
