Seat Altea demand grows by a third in 2006
Seat has revealed that year-on-year sales of its Altea model increased by a third in 2006.According to figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, sales of the compact multi-purpose vehicle rose by 29 per cent to a grand total of 4,901 units last year, reports Easier.
Moreover, this growth could be set to continue with the launch of the Altea XL later this month, which aims to provide drivers with even more space than the standard model.
Overall, the Spanish automaker recorded a 15.5 per cent increase in total sales over the course of last year and Seat UK's director Peter Wyhinny has explained why he thinks an increasing number of motorists are choosing the marque.
"The reasons for Seat's success last year are simple: we offer a range of stylish, dynamic and high-quality models with very competitive whole-life costs," he said.
"These strengths are not being overlooked by car buyers."
In related news, buyers of the Toledo 2.0 TDI Sport will be able to take advantage of £2,500 of additional features, such as 18-ins alloy wheels and leather seats, for the same price as a standard model throughout January 2007.
