Worldwide sales hike reported by Renault
Automaker Renault has reported an increase in global sales over the course of 2007.The company shifted one per cent more Renault-badged vehicles during the year, along with a 17.4 per cent hike in Dacias cars.
In total, consumers left dealerships with approximately 2.5 million units from the firm, representing a 3.6 per cent hike compared to 2006.
This is in line with what the company had predicted, according to Renault vice present of sales and marketing Patrick Blain.
He said: "The 2007 sales results are in line with our forecasts: down in the first-half of the year and back to growth in the second half."
The French automobile manufacturer distributes cars, trucks and buses around the world. Famous examples include the Megane and the Clio.
Originally founded in 1899, Renault's headquarters is located in Boulogne-Billancourt.
