Portsmouth Internet Customer APPR

Perry Peugeot and Fiat on Walton Road, Farlington, is celebrating the completion of its first international Internet sale to Switzerland resident Marna Roos.

Marna, who is relocating to the UK later in the year, first spotted Perrys when she performed an Internet search for new Fiats. She explained: "Even though I am not moving to the Portsmouth area, I was extremely impressed with the Perrys website. Not only was it really user friendly and easy to navigate, it also gave clear information about cars and their prices. Something which many of the other sites I visited failed to display."

Perrys has recently invested heavily in its website in order to make it as user friendly and easy to navigate as possible. The site can often be found listed in the top five of the Hitwise Motor Website list, and was recently awarded 'Best Website' at the prestigious AM Awards.

General Manager Bob Wright, said: "The Internet has become an increasingly important sales tool for us over the last few years and this latest sale highlights the continued growth of this useful medium."

This is certainly the case. Recent studies show that people are increasingly turning to the Internet when it comes to researching and comparing vehicles. Bob continued: "Gone are the days when people would simply head down to their local dealership to talk cars and offers. With the Internet at their fingertips they can easily access more vehicles than ever before at increasingly competitive prices."

After finding the vehicle she wanted, Marna was equally impressed with the service and promptness of Perrys. She continued: "Perrys answered my questions quickly, personally, and in an easily understandable manner.

The staff were also extremely helpful and friendly. Not only did they provide me with all the information and details I needed, they made buying the car incredibly straightforward and hassle free – they even delivered it to Gatwick Airport on the day of collection. I literally walked out of the airport and sat down in my new car, which was great."

Bob added: "At Perrys we take pride in providing our customers with a top quality service, whether they have come into the showroom, or are looking to buy over the net. We are thrilled that Marna is happy with her new Fiat Panda and wish her all the best with her new job in England."

After picking up her brand new Panda, Marna certainly put it straight through its paces, driving it back to Switzerland through France. "My little Panda goes like a dream and I had no hassles or hold-ups on my journey. It was the perfect ending to the most stress-free car purchase I've ever made.

"I have to say, I was a bit nervous about coming to England but, if everyone I meet is as friendly as the team at Perrys, I have nothing to worry about."
