MALCOLM TO DRIVE SERVICE DEPARTMENT FORWARD
Perrys of Portsmouth is welcoming a new service manager, Malcolm Nancarrow, to the busy dealership on Walton Road. Dedicated and highly knowledgeable, Malcolm will instil his enthusiasm and expertise into the dealership in order to take the service department successfully forward.Malcolm, who has always lived in Portsmouth, has an impressive 26 years’ experience in the automotive industry, specialising in aftersales and service, which make him the perfect candidate for the job: “Most customers have a firm grasp of what they want when they bring their car in to a dealership, which I have come to find is high-quality service coupled with excellent customer care.”
His extensive career began at a Volvo dealership in Bedhampton, which he joined as an apprentice mechanic. From there he progressed into a service advisory role before being appointed manager of the department. He also spent time managing the body shop before taking a role of aftersales manager at a local Mazda dealership. This role grew as the dealership acquired Mitsubishi and Seat franchises which became a group aftersales role.
Drawing on his experience, Malcolm has a clear vision of how he wants to take Perrys’ service department forward: “Over the next twelve months I plan to restructure and expand the department to ensure that it has the right staff, facilities and processes in place so that our customers receive a quality service that exceeds their expectations, to make owning and maintaining a car with Perrys just as enjoyable and stress free as the initial purchase.”
