Peugeot records increase in eco-friendly sales

More motorists are turning to Peugeot when it comes to picking up an environmentally-friendly vehicle, new statistics show.

According to figures from the French manufacturer, there was an increase of 16 per cent in the number of 107s sold by the company last month.

The manufacturer sold 3,485 units over the course of March, with the company suggesting that the model is the top choice for the "savvy green buyer" as it falls into Band B grouping due to its 109g CO2 per kilometre emissions.

Managing director of the firm in the UK Pierre Louis Colin commented that the company is happy with how well it has sold.

"We are pleased with the performance of our small and efficient vehicles, which address the growing needs of our customers," he said.

Meanwhile, Personallyyours.co.uk has announced that an 106-year-old Peugeot vehicle has passed its MOT in Cumbria. It is currently on sale and is expected to sell for around £150,000.
