Peugeot car 'may appeal to families'

Consumers could make a sensible decision by investing in a Peugeot car, if details of a new model are anything to go by.

Marketed at families, the Bipper Tepee could be an attractive option for those looking for a versatile vehicle.

Available from £9,995, the five-seater could be ideal for fans of multi-use vehicles, while the load capacity of 884 litres provides plenty of space for the weekend shopping run.

Elsewhere, the manufacturer claims that the Bipper Tepee offers fuel efficiency, with a 1.4-litre diesel engine and a consumption rate of 62.8 miles per gallon.

Safety comes in the form of large door mirrors, which can make tricky manoeuvres easier for those driving in urban locations.

Meanwhile, drivers with children may be gladdened by the presence of safety seat mounting points fitted in the outer rear seats.

Recently, the manufacturer announced that retail sales in September 2009 increased by 18 per cent compared with the same month a year previously.
