Peugeot has announced it is to unveil a luxury coupe concept car at the Paris Motor Show in September, carscoop.blogspot.com has reported
The French manufacturer is yet top release any official detail about the vehicle, but speculation suggests that the 908 RC is a four door coupe in the style of the Porsche Panamera or Mercedes-Benz CLS.
Featuring a roomy, light coloured four-seat interior, internally the 908 RC is said to boast a futuristic appearance without delving too far into Star Trek territory. It also features an expansive, panoramic roof and windscreen.
Externally the car is believed to bear some similarities to the Peugeot 907 concept, which was a showstopper at the Paris Motor Show in 2004.
The long and sleek 908 RC also features flying buttresses from the C-pillar, giving the car a coupe-like appearance, while a diffuser flanked by beefy exhaust outlets complete the look.
The 9-8 RC will be powered by the 5.5-litre V12 diesel engine from Peugeot's 2007 Le Mans 24 Hours race car, producing 885lb-ft of torque and 700bhp.
Given the fact that the 908 RC is a concept car it is unlikely to go into full production, although it may give some indication as to Citroen's future design direction.
