Peugeot revamps its classy 407 range
French carmaker Peugeot has revealed new enhancements to its 407 saloon range – including the introduction of a V6 HDi Diesel engine.Peugeot has revised its popular saloon and SW range to include a four-model line up, which will be available in the UK from May.
The range now includes a Sport model, which features a highly impressive new specification for drivers, while the range-topping Executive model now features the 2.7-litre twin-turbo HDi Diesel engine.
As well as tweaking the engines, Peugeot has upgraded the standard equipment features on the 407 range, which now include automatic activated windscreen wipers and headlamps, tyre pressure sensors and electrically folding door mirrors on the SE model.
For the 2.2-litre petrol or HDi 136 Diesel engine-equipped Sport model, standard features over the SE include electric adjusting seats, multi-change CD player and reverse parking sensors, as well as a multi-colour display screen.
But the Executive model is the cream of the crop, with its new 2.7 or 3.0-litre V6 Diesel engine powering it to the head of the class.
Other notable variations on the Executive include integrated GSM mobile telephone, colour satellite navigation and voice activation, as well as heated front seats, and rear seat side airbags.
