For those drivers who want to use an in-built satellite navigation system while listening to the latest tunes, Peugeot has announced that it is going to launch its next-generation RT4 Multi Media System on the 407-series.
Unlike previous systems, this device features a 30-gigabyte hard drive, enabling it to process music CDs while plotting the best journey route in full colour.
Moreover, it could come in particularly handy for those who are looking to undertake a driving holiday this summer, since the system offers up-to-date mapping information for 30 European countries.
The RT4 will be rolled out on the Saloon, SW and Coupe models of the 407-series to start with.
With regards to the Saloon and SW, it will cost an additional £995 on the standard price, although the device is included as standard on the high-end Couple GT model.
In other Peugeot news, this week saw official confirmation of a new deal between the French automaker and West Midlands police.
The contract sees Peugeot supplying 15 Peugeot 307 Estate cars for the force's dog patrol teams, with the car maker claiming the 307 is the only car in its class to offer enough space to hold the specially-designed dog cages.
