New Peugeot 407 coupe unveiled
Carmaker Peugeot has launched its new Peugeot 407 coupe 2.7 V6 Hdi.A new addition to the popular 407 range, the low-slung coupe is French designed and comes with a stylish creased bonnet, sweeping lines and a built in spoiler on the boot lid.
The new upmarket vehicle comes fitted with a choice of 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine, in either six-speed manual gearbox or new six-speed automatic transmission versions, or a six-speed automatic 407 HDi diesel engine.
The petrol engines have 24-valves with variable valve timing, allowing the 307 to go from 0 to 60mph in 8.5sec and hit a top speed of 143mph. All three versions of the new coupe comply with strict Euro 4 emission standards.
Standard features include 18-inch diameter alloy wheels, ABS anti-lock brakes with EBFD and EBA, seven airbags, ESP with ASR and stability control, dual zone climate control air conditioning, leather seats and directional xenon headlamps.
Available for between £29,200 and £30,900, the 407 Coupe is described by Peugeot as "an elegant, well-proportioned and powerful expression of style" and as "glorious" by The Times. The Peugeot 407 range already includes sedan and station wagon versions.
