New 407 Coupe arrives in showrooms
Peugeot has announced that its new 407 Coupe HDi 136 model is now available to order.The HDi 136 is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine and is capable of accelerating to 62 mph in 10.1 seconds and hitting a top speed of 129 mph.
Despite its performance the HDi 136 is also a green choice, emitting just 156 g/km of CO2 and achieving a combined cycle fuel economy figure of 48 mpg.
The launch coincides with Peugeot's decision to revamp its 407 Coupe range.
All four models - the 2.2-litre petrol, 3.0-litre V6 petrol, 2.0-litre HDi 136 and 2.7-litre V6 HDi automatic - will now come in a single Sport trim.
This means all new 407 Coupes benefit from alloy wheels, xenon headlamps, cruise control, a rear parking sensor, dual-zone climate control, ESP and laminated side windows.
Peugeot recently announced it sold 675,000 vehicles in Western Europe in the first half of 2007, giving the company a 7.5 per cent share of the new car market.
