Peugeot dealers are preparing for the new 57 registration plate by stocking up with the French carmakers three new models.The first summer addition to the Peugeot range is the company's first ever SUV - the 4007.
The seven-seater comes with an on-demand four-wheel drive system and is powered by a 2.2-litre HDi engine, which emits only 191 g/km of CO2 and provides a 39.2 mpg combined cycle fuel economy figure.
Joining the 4007 in the showrooms is the Peugeot 207 SW, an estate version of Europe's best-selling supermini.
It comes with an eye-catching full-length Cielo panoramic glass roof, but also includes a number of practical features including a bigger boot capacity, aluminium roof bars and an innovative rear seat folding mechanism.
The final newcomer is the Peugeot 308, which will be available to test drive from early September.
A replacement for the popular 307 range, the hatchback is longer and wider than its predecessor, meaning it has more interior space and class-leading aerodynamics which help to cut fuel consumption and emissions.
Meanwhile, Peugeot has been confirmed as an official partner of Rugby World Cup 2007 and will supply 280 vehicles to tournament organisers for use by officials and players.
