Peugeot 307 'proves its worth for dog lovers'

Motorists who love to take their canine companions with them wherever they go have been alerted to the details of a new deal between West Midlands police and the French automaker.

Under the terms of the arrangement, the specialist vehicle operations offshoot of Peugeot has struck a deal to supply 15 Peugeot 307 Estate cars to the regional police force to carry dog patrol teams, reports Easier.

Of course, these vehicles have to be specially fitted with a removable dog cage in order to safely accommodate the police dogs.

And Peugeot claims that the 2,802 litres of space offered by the 307 means that it is the only car in its class that can meet the constabulary's stringent needs.

Moreover, the model offers a 1,196mm-long opening aperture in the tailgate, which should enable police officers to easily get down to the business of fighting crime.

Peugeot was founded in 1882 in Paris as a bicycle manufacturer, but its logo depicting a standing lion has since gone on to become one the most recognisable automotive brands in the world.
