Peugeot 307 coupe sells well over winter
Carmaker Peugeot has reported strong sales of its 307 Coupe Cabriolet over the winter months.The company claims that sales of the car rose by more than a quarter (27 per cent) in March this year, an increase of 44 per cent on the year to date.
Demand for the 307 Coupe Cabriolet appears to be growing, despite a particularly cold and wet March in the UK, which witnessed temperatures plummet to four degrees below last year's March temperature.
The spacious four-seater comes with a hardtop, automatic integral roof that folds down in just 25 seconds. Priced from £17,350, Peugeot has released three petrol versions of the 307-cc">307 CC - 110bhp 1.6-litre, 140bhp 2.0-litre and 180bhp 2.0-litre engines – and a HDi 136 diesel model.
Drivers appear to be preparing for a change in the weather by purchasing the 307 Coupe Cabriolet and Peugeot claims that between the 206 and 207 it sells more open-top cars in the UK than any other manufacturer.
Peugeot sales director, David Brookman, said: "Regardless of the UK’s changeable weather, our customers seem to have a real love affair with open-top motoring. And with many people predicting a long hot summer this year, 307-cc">Peugeot 307 CC owners are clearly in pole position."
