Peugeot 207 praised for safety provision
Safety provision has been praised in the Peugeot 207 range during a new review of one of the models.The Peugeot 207 GT HDi 110 Three-Door model features many characteristics that are exclusive to the GT trim level.
For instance, directional headlights, dual-zone climate control air-conditioning, automatic lights and wipers and a dimming rear-view mirror all come as standard with the GT version.
However, reviewer David Finlay was keen to praise the shock-absorbency of the Peugeot 207 range in a road test for CARkeys, claiming that it could reduce the chances of injuring pedestrians in an accidental collision.
"You can quickly see how much effort Peugeot has put into pedestrian protection, in particular," he said.
"Apply a firm hand to the extremities at either end and you'll immediately notice how bendy they are.
"The car will start to absorb some of the energy of a low-speed impact before serious damage has been done."
Although it is now a global brand, Peugeot started producing cars in the late 19th century for the French market.
The Gallic brand has since become part of PSA Peugeot Citroen.
