Peugeot 207 GTi THP 175 details released
In news that may be of interest to motorists looking for a sportier new motor, Peugeot has unveiled details of its forthcoming hot-hatch.The 207 GTi THP 175 is set to arrive in Peugeot car dealerships from June 2007 with an on-the-road price of £14,995.
And a distinctive rear spoiler, 17-ins alloys, twin chrome exhaust pipes and chrome door mirror covers are all designed to contribute towards the model's sporty aesthetics.
Moreover, the French automaker believes that this design ethos is reflected beneath the bonnet, where a 1.6-litre turbo engine can power the vehicle to 62 mph in 7.1 seconds before maxing out at 137 mph.
However, the company is keen to stress that exhilarating acceleration does not come at the expense of practicality.
"It is a very multi-talented car, which is easy to live with on a day-to-day basis - equally at home in town or out on the open road," the company explained in a statement.
Last month, Peugeot lifted the lid on a new concept car based on the 207 car platform.
One notable feature of the Peugeot 207 SW Outdoor is that it features a glass roof to enhance the impression of in-car spaciousness.
