Peugeot has announced it is to launch the 206 as a single model range from October 2006.
The French manufacturer said that it plans to build on the outstanding success of the 206, its best-ever selling model with over 5.4 million sold worldwide, by offering its as a single model range.
It went on to say that the Peugeot 206 Look will replace the previous Verve, Sport and Urban models and will fit between the Peugeot 107 and the new Peugeot 207.
Priced at just £8,495 on-the-road for the 1.4 three-door petrol engine version, the 206 Look is just £100 more expensive than the outgoing 206 Urban model, but comes with many more standard features.
Relative to the Urban 2006, the 206 Look sees the standard fitment of 60/40 split in rear seats, body coloured door handles, side rubbing strips, side rubbing strips and bumpers, silver grey instrument dials, a chrome exhaust pipe, sport front bumper and front fog lights.
The 206 SW and CC models however remain unchanged.
Meanwhile, the four-door 908 RC concept car is preparing for its debut at the Paris Motor Show next month.
Powered by Peugeot's V12 HDi diesel particulate filter system diesel engine which was developed with the Le Mans Race Series programme in 2007 in mind, the 908 RC is capable of speeds up to 186mph.
