Peugeot's fantastic 206 is due to get even more fantastic this summer, as the French manufacturer announces its 207 version of the car.
Designed not to overtake but rather run alongside the much-loved 206, the new 207 is eagerly anticipated by much of the motoring sector.
After seven successful years and 5.5 million vehicles built to date, the 206 is still a popular vehicle – indeed, its Peugeot's best-selling model of all time.
But the new 207 builds on the success of its younger brother, offering even more style, space and gadgets than before.
Safety is another big selling point with the 207, achieving five stars for adult occupant protection, four stars for child safety and three stars for pedestrian safety in the Euro NCAP ratings.
The new model offers a range of petrol and diesel engine designs, all with five-speed manual transmissions.
Its 1.4-litre petrol engine comes with either a 75bhp or 90bhp power output, with the latter expected to be the best seller.
All in all, feeling and looking stronger and more powerful than the 206, the new 207 will certainly make waves when released in June.
However, Peugeot has made it clear its not letting go of the 206 yet.
