Competition reaffirms Peugeot's commitment towards innovative car design
Peugeot has underlined its desire to support advanced car designs with the announcement that it will build the winning entry from its recent competition.The fourth online Peugeot Design Competition received a record 4,029 design entries and Romanian Mihai Panaitescu's Flux model was this week declared the overall winner.
In addition to receiving a cheque for €6,000 (£4,034), Mr Panaitescu has also been assured that his blueprints will become a reality in the near future.
Peugeot will construct a full-scale model of the concept car to be pored over by automotive enthusiasts at the Frankfurt motor show in September 2007.
And the model will also be immortalised when it features on a forthcoming driving simulator game to be released for Microsoft's Xbox 360 games console.
In other Peugeot news, this week the French automaker announced a host of offers to promote its new 207 CC, the successor to the 206.
A year's free car insurance cover is just one of the deals that buyers can take advantage of if they buy the model at Peugeot car dealerships before the end of March.
