Buyers 'can get great deals on new models'
Motorists interested in purchasing a car with the new 09-plate should find there are some great deals to be had at dealerships across the country, it has been claimed.Which? Car said the economic downturn means traders are doing everything they can to tempt buyers into showrooms.
The magazine made this comment following the release of figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, which showed new car sales fell 21.9 per cent in February compared with the same month last year.
Richard Headland, editor of Which? Car, commented: "March isn't usually the time to get a great new car deal, but this year everything's up for grabs."
However, whether heading to a Citroen, Ford or Fiat dealership, motorists were advised to take running costs into account rather than just the initial price tag.
