As the wintry road conditions threaten motorists up and down the country, Peugeot drivers can feel a little safer with the 1007 model's innovative safety features.

The Peugeot 1007 comes with a new ESP technology as standard – predicting dangerous conditions and even acting to counter the effects of ice and snow.

Peugeot's ESP – Electronic Stability Programme – automatically detects when the vehicle is skidding and actively counteracts it, reducing engine power to improve stability.

The car will even apply its own brakes to individual wheels, without driver intervention.

Sweden's National Road Administration reported that the inclusion of ESP on a vehicle will reduce accident on dry roads by 22 per cent, and by 33 per cent on wet roads.

The 1007 also benefits from ease of access with sliding rear seats and electrically operated doors – very handy for getting freezing children in and out of the car quickly.

The 1007 – a funky mix between a supermini and a mini-MPV – is the ideal vehicle for a wintry trip, offering a safe, fun ride.
