More caravan owners may be tempted to visit their local Land Rover car dealership after hearing about the manufacturer's latest success.The group's Discovery 4 has been commended for its prowess when it comes to pulling a mobile home.
At the 2010 Caravan Club Towcar of the Year event, the model achieved top spot in both the all-wheel drive category and the over-£32,000 class.
Member of the judging panel Barry Williams suggested this was no mean feat considering the competition the auto was up against.
"The Land Rover Discovery 4 stood out among an astonishingly good selection of cars in the two classes it entered," he remarked.
Features that make the vehicle particularly suitable for pulling a mobile home are Tow and Trailer Stability Assist.
Meanwhile, motorists who were hoping to spend a little less on a car may want to consider the Volkswagen Golf.
The model was the Caravan Club's overall winner for 2010.
