Van buyers 'should head to Nissan dealership'
A Nissan automobile has been named the International Van of the Year 2010.The news, which may bring a rush of buyers to Nissan dealerships, concerns the NV200, a new small van from the famous brand.
It was voted for the title by 23 specialist journalists, who said in a statement that it "sets new standards" within the sector.
The judges praised it for the amount of space offered within the vehicle compared to its overall size.
Already available in Japan, the Nissan NV200 will come to UK car dealerships with prices starting from £12,090, while a seven seater Combi model will be added later on.
Nissan has also reminded potential buyers that if they can trade in an automobile that is older than eight years, under the scrappage scheme they can get the new van for just £10,090.
The NV200 also boasts carbon dioxide emissions of 137 grams per kilometre, which Nissan describes as "class leading".
