UK sales up for Nissan
Japanese automobile manufacturer Nissan has announced that its UK sales went up last month.According to the firm, there was a 45 per cent rise in the number of vehicles sold by the motor firm last month.
It added that the 50,542 units picked up over the course of January mark a 71.9 per cent year-on-year increase and the tenth consecutive month in which sales have gone up.
One contributing factor to the statistics has been the success of the new Tilda, which the company states is "selling well" in Ireland and eastern Europe.
"[The Tilda] has been further supported by its recent launch in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Spain and Portugal will see the launch of Tilda next month," said the firm.
Meanwhile, Nissan has announced that the 473 bhp Nissan GT-R model will not be available to drivers in the UK until 2009.
