Profit increase over Q3 announced by Nissan
Nissan has announced a profit increase for the third financial quarter of last year.According to the Japanese car manufacturer, it made 132.2 billion yen (£550 million) over the timeframe, which represents a rise of more than a quarter compared to statistics from one year earlier.
Product launches for the Livina, X-Trail, Infiniti Ex and Altima coupe over the course of 2007 have helped with the increase, although president and chief executive Carlos Ghosn is now looking to the future.
"Nissan has benefited from the success of the new products launched during the past 12 months," said the official.
"Although the market outlook remains volatile for the coming months, Nissan is focused and on track to deliver our full year objectives," the executive added.
Nissan was founded in 1932, although it originally operated and traded under the Datsun brand name.
