Nissan highlights its greenest vehicles
From early next year, Nissan customers will be able to tell at a glance which of the manufacturer's vehicles are greenest, the carmaker claims. It states this will be made possible by adding the Pure Drive badge to those models which produce less than 140 grams of CO2 per kilometre.
Furthermore, from next month those vehicles fitted with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) technology will also be given a label so they too can be easily identified.
Nissan states CVT cars benefit from the convenience of an automatic transmission with lower fuel consumption and emissions.
Pierre Loing, Nissan's European vice-president for product planning, says: "By including the CVT equipped models in the Qashqai and X-TRAIL line-ups, we may present them with options they wouldn't have otherwise considered."
Meanwhile, those people considering buying a second-hand model may be interested to hear the manufacturer's 350Z model was named the best sports car in the What Car? used vehicle awards.
