Nissan backs British-built cars
Motorists heading to their local Nissan dealership to see what bargains they can claim under the vehicle scrappage scheme have been urged to consider buying British. The manufacturer has added an extra incentive to those people who show their support for the manufacturing sector in the UK.
Anyone with a car between eight and ten years old will be able to trade it in for a £2,000 discount on new Nissans built in Sunderland.
This may prove tempting to some as to qualify for the government's original scheme, it is necessary to own a vehicle that was registered at least a decade ago.
Nissan's managing director, Paul Willcox, claimed: "In extending the £2,000 minimum trade-in against our British-built range to include eight to ten-year-old cars, Nissan has given the UK manufacturing industry a much-needed boost."
In other news, the company recently stated it offered a range of great options for people looking to buy 4x4s.
