Nissan announces production figures for October
Automaker Nissan has broken its October global production record last month. Some 341,036 vehicles were put together by the manufacturer during the month, marking an increase of 16.3 per cent over the same period last year.
It produced some 112,698 vehicles in October in its home country of Japan - a hike of 10.9 per cent - thought to be due to the construction of the Rogue and Infiniti range.
However, the highest increase came in the UK, where 21.3 per cent growth was made due 35,447 cars being rolled out - a figure the company believes is down to the Qashqai range.
This comes as Nissan in North America has had to recall nearly 700,000 vehicles.
Sentra and Altima models on the continent should be brought back to drivers' nearest dealership due to a bug found in the software installed in the vehicles.
