European sales figures show increase for Nissan
Japanese automobile manufacturer Nissan has released statistics relating to its sales performance in Europe over October.The brand performed particularly well in Russia, with volume increasing by 34 per cent on October 2006 as 11,967 vehicles were sold.
Across the continent, there were 50,048 units picked up by consumers - a 21.9 per cent rise on last year which the company has attributed to two new models.
"Once again, sales were up for the seventh consecutive month due to the continuing success of the compact cross-over Qashqai as well as the new X-Trail which was launched fully in September," stated Nissan.
Furthermore, the firm stated that it has sold 472,117 over the course of the year so far - a 5.4 per cent hike on the same time 12 months previous.
Meanwhile, the firm has announced it has struck a deal to distribute cars in California with Sonnen Motorcars, according to the Marin Independent Journal.
