Ford S-MAX praised for towing ability
Motorists looking for a vehicle that is capable of pulling a caravan may want to pay a visit to their local Ford dealership.The manufacturer's S-MAX 2.2-litre TDCi Titanium model has driven away with top honours in its class at the 2009 Towcar Awards.
Praised for its quiet engine, the judges said the auto made for peaceful and relaxing journeys.
In addition to this, the model also received recognition for the fact it offers high levels of stability, even when travelling at high speeds.
Commenting on the auto, head judge David Motton stated: "It's a great family MPV and now a top towcar too."
The panel pointed out the inclusion of the new 2.2 TDCi engine had made a big difference, making the model even more suitable for pulling a caravan.
In other news, the S-MAX recently came top in the MPV class at the British Insurance Vehicle Security Awards.
