Mini First 'offers best-in-class residual value'

Motorists who have been shocked by how much their car has depreciated in value over the years may want to pay a visit to their local Mini dealership when they come to trade in their current auto.

The manufacturer has claimed its new First model is expected to retain 50 per cent of its original price after 30,000 miles or three years.

It pointed out this is a class-leading figure.

According to the carmaker, the latest addition to its line-up could also save motorists money in other areas.

It explained the vehicle will be the least expensive model in its range - with prices starting at £10,950.

The group also revealed it has equipped the car with a range of economy-boosting systems such as Brake Energy Regeneration and Auto Start-Stop, which could help drivers reduce running costs.

People can place orders for the vehicle immediately.

Meanwhile, Mini recently reported the 1.5 millionth auto from its Oxford factory had been built.
