Mini donates 6th vehicle to Aids charity
Mini has reaffirmed its commitment to good causes by donating a car to a charitable auction for the sixth year in a row.The bespoke Mini, which has been decorated by fashion photographer Mario Testino, is being sold to the highest bidder on eBay and all proceeds will go to Aids charity Life Ball.
Now, Mr Testino has expressed his pleasure at being invited to participate in the project by Mini.
"I am a great admirer of those people who dedicate their lives to other people and to charitable causes and I am thrilled to contribute to the success of the Life Ball," he said.
Mini began annually donating vehicles to the Life Ball auction in 2002 and has so far raised £159,255 to help people diagnosed with Aids.
Recently, the iconic automaker announced that motorists who bought vehicles from its Mini Cherished approved used car programme on June 2nd and 3rd 2007 would be rewarded with a 25 per cent discount on the cost of Mini Insurance cover.
