Mini Cherished to be promoted

Used cars from across the Mini car range are to be promoted as part of a new sales initiative, it has been revealed.

Between June 2nd and 3rd 2007, the UK's Mini dealerships have been asked to raise awareness of the Mini Cherished approved second-hand vehicles programme.

During the weekend, motorists will be entitled to a 25 per cent premium discount from Mini Insurance, while they will also be invited to participate in a prize draw where a UK getaway is on offer.

In preparation for the public awareness drive, Andy Hearn, Mini UK's general manager, has outlined the benefit of buying from Mini Cherished.

"The award-winning Mini Cherished scheme offers assurance to customers that they're buying a Mini in the best possible condition for their driving adventures," he said.

Production ended for the original Mini in 2000. However, the brand has since been resurrected by German automotive giant BMW.
