Scottish sales look good for Mazda

Automaker Mazda has revealed that its market share increased over the course of September.

The car manufacturer has commented that it saw a 3.8 per cent rise in the number of vehicles it sold across its 18 Scottish dealers during the month.

For the year so far, the motor firm has seen motorists drive away from Mazda dealerships with as many cars this year as they did over all of 2006.

Jeremy Thompson, Mazda UK sales director, stated that the company is now on course to enjoy a successful 2008 in Scotland.

He said: "Every dealer has shown growth this year and they are now well placed for 2008."

Earlier this month, a Mazda dealer in the United Arab Emirates launched one of the firm's newest vehicles.

The Mazda MX-5 lightweight two-seater convertible will soon be available to drivers in the country.
