New Mazda commemorates 40 years of rotary engine
A limited edition vehicle is to be released by vehicle manufacturer Mazda in order to celebrate 40 years of the rotary engine. The RX-8 comes in two special body colours and features badging to mark the occasion.
Rob Lindley, managing director of the brand in the UK, believes the car is the perfect choice for such a celebration.
He said: "Since its launch in 2003, the Mazda RX-8 has changed the face of the sports car market in the UK. It brings real motoring excitement to everyday family life."
But those looking to get their hands on the car may find that they come up short, as the firm has only made 400 units.
Mazda was founded originally in 1920 in Japan and has since gone on to be acquired by US automaker Ford, which now owns a 33.9 per cent share of it.
