Mazda CX-7 confirmed for September
Mazda has confirmed that its new CX-7 Sports utility vehicle will go on sale in the UK in September. The seven-seater, which is powered by a 2.3-litre turbo-charged engine, will carry a £23,960 on the road price tag.
The 130-mph 4x4 will also come with a host of safety equipment as standard, including front, side and curtain airbags, ABS, EBD, EBA, DSC and TCS.
It is not short on luxuries either, as a Bose stereo system with surround sound, leather seats, steering wheel and gear knob and climate control are included as standard.
Mazda UK's marketing director Mark Cameron believes the CX-7 will prove popular as it crosses the divide between uncompromising off-road vehicles and stylised soft-roaders.
"Our new Mazda CX-7 is different because it is more heavily oriented towards a sports car in its styling and driving dynamics, while retaining the commanding driving position, presence and stature of an off road vehicle," said Mr Cameron.
Meanwhile, Mazda recently celebrated the production of its 40 millionth vehicle when a new Mazda 2 rolled off the production line at its plant near Hiroshima.
