Mazda confirms new MX-5 Roadster prices

Mazda Motors UK has released prices for the new MX-5 Roadster Coupe.

Prices for the new hardtop start at £18,210 on-the-road, representing a £1,200 premium on the soft-top version to accommodate additional features.

The new MX-5 Roadster Coupe features both climate control air conditioning and the Option Pack come as standard in the 1.8i and 2.0i Roadster Coupe versions.

Mark Cameron, marketing director for Mazda Motors UK, said: "Global demand for the new Mazda MX-5 Roadster Coupe is already very strong, so availability is going to be a little bit restricted this year.

"We have several hundred cars destined for the UK, but to be sure of obtaining the model they desire, customers should visit the pre-order website and reserve their vehicle soon to avoid the possible disappointment of having to wait until 2007 for the car of their dreams."

Three models of the MX-5 Roadster Coupe will be available. These are the 2.0i Sport, the 2.0i Sport with BOSE and the 2.0i Option Pack with leather, with the choice of six colour schemes.

Safety features include two chamber side airbags integrated into the seat sides to protect the head and torso, in addition to dynamic stability control with a traction control system. Furthermore, the MX-5 Roadster Coupe features a Thatcham 1 alarm and immobiliser.

And storage space is not a problem as even with the roof folded down luggage space is not compromised, ensuring the driver can close the roof quickly in inclement weather without the need to get out in the rain.

The MX-5 Roadster Coupe also comes with either 16-inch 5-spoke or 17-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels, depending on the model, giving the MX-5 a truly premium style.
