Motorists may be tempted by Mazda MX-5
Mazda dealerships may find a new model tempts more motorists through their doors, if the comments of the manufacturer are anything to go by.The company has predicted the 2009 versions of the MX-5 soft-top and roadster coupe models will prove a big hit with customers.
It said the updated autos shares styling features with some of the firm's other vehicles, such as the Mazda2 and Mazda3.
Managing director Jeremy Thomson stated: "The 2009 MX-5 effectively builds on the qualities that have made the Mazda's two-seater roadster the best-selling sportscar in the world."
The group also pointed out the green credentials of the model have been improved.
Buyers will find the edition equipped with the MZR 1.8i engine now boasts CO2 emissions of 167 g/km and fuel economy of 40.4 mpg.
In other news, the manufacturer recently reported it was thought the new Mazda3 would retain up to 35 per cent of its value after three years or 60,000 miles.
