Mazda MX-5's build quality highlighted as brand wins reliability study
Mazda car owners have been cheered by news that the brand has just been named the most reliable on the market by an industry study.Research from Warranty Direct has found that Mazda vehicles typically developed fewer mechanical failures than the 32 other major automakers included as part of the study.
More specifically, 8.04 per cent of Mazda motors aged between three and nine years old experienced technical difficulties during the study from the vehicle warranty specialist, which compares favourably to the 8.9 per cent recorded for Honda in second and 15.78 per cent for Toyota in third.
Commenting on the findings, Mazda Motors UK's managing director Rob Lindley sought to draw attention to the reliability of its MX-5 range.
"Over the past five years, Mazda has grown sales in the UK more than any other car brand," he said.
"Loyal buyers of the Mazda MX-5 sports car have become familiar with our renowned build quality."
Available in Mazda car dealerships today, the MX-5 is available as both a hard top and a soft top.
